Description:

Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A slender figure of Osiris that is cast from bronze. The mummiform deity presents with bent elbows, a scepter (heka) and flagellum (nekhakh) crossed atop his chest, and a false beard draped atop his clavicle. Osiris' minimal visage is surmounted by a royal uraeus cobra that fronts an Atef crown. Thick green and brown patina has developed across the figure's surfaces. Size: 0.9" W x 3.25" H (2.3 cm x 8.3 cm); 3.75" H (9.5 cm) on included custom stand.
