Description:

Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A leaded-bronze figurine of Osiris, god of the underworld, standing in mummiform pose with a petite tang beneath for stability. The effigy stands with crossed arms holding his crook and flail, and atop his head is a tall Atef crown with ostrich feathers, a sun disc, and a frontal uraeus cobra. Size: 0.4" L x 1" W x 4.1" H (1 cm x 2.5 cm x 10.4 cm); 5" H (12.7 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private Florham Park, New Jersey, USA collection, by inheritance, acquired 1970s to 1980s
