Description:

Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A superb, near miniature, cast-leaded bronze pharaoh. The figure presents with his left leg striding forward atop an integral rectangular plinth and holds his rigid arms to the sides of his pleated skirt and bare chest. His solemn visage displays closed eyes below a sweeping brow, a broad nose, full lips, and a narrow beard, all beneath the folds of a vertically striped, tripartite wig topped with a Uraeus. Layers of matte brown and russet patina with scattered areas of green patina have formed across the composition. Size: 0.875" W x 3.125" H (2.2 cm x 7.9 cm); 4.875" H (12.4 cm) on included custom stand.
