Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th to 20th Dynasty, ca. 1539 to 1075 BCE; Greco-Roman, ca. 2nd century BCE to 2nd century CE. A pretty pair of electrum hoop earrings and a silver clawed foot, likely from a vessel. The elegant earrings each present a minimalist, boat-shaped form with pointed termini that briefly overlap. Alternatively, the petite clawed foot displays a tondo of a 7-pointed star or 7-petaled flower on the front. Size of largest (foot): 0.6" W x 0.5" H (1.5 cm x 1.3 cm); metal quality: earrings: 51.9 to 54.45% gold (equivalent to 12.46 to 13.07 karats), 40.6 to 44% silver, foot: 97.03% silver, 1.15% gold; total weight: 14 grams

A pair of nearly identical electrum earrings from New Kingdom Egypt can be found in the Brooklyn Museum under accession number 37.750E.
