Description:

Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. An elegant and wearable 4-stranded necklace composed of hundreds of glazed faience seed beads in hues of robin's egg blue, seafoam green, caramel beige, golden yellow, cranberry red, tawny orange, sage green, slate grey, periwinkle, jet black, and more. The four glittering strands of ancient beads are capped by two decorative silver openwork beads from which a single strand emerges to continue around the neck of the wearer. Faience beads were used to create jewelry as well as burial nets that were placed over mummies. Size: 18.875" L (47.9 cm)
