Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A necklace of wearable form constructed with dozens of slender faience tube beads that are covered in blue and turquoise glazes. The double-strand design enables the wearer to choose between a pair of longer strands or 4 shorter strands, all with brass findings on the verso. Size (necklace): 36" L (91.4 cm); (largest bead): 0.8" L (2 cm)
