Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A gathering of 3 mold-formed faience artifacts including 2 amulets of Shu, god of the wind, and a charming button scarab. One amulet of Shu depicts the deity in profile with one arm raised, and the larger, blue-glazed amulet of Shu shows him in portrait in a kneeling pose with both arms raised past his temples. The ovoid button scarab has striated elytra, a petite head, and sinuous legs top as well as a perforated suspension loop on the verso. Size of largest (Shu w/ blue glaze): 0.6" W x 1.1" H (1.5 cm x 2.8 cm)
