Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A stunning necklace of wearable form that is constructed with dozens of glazed Egyptian faience beads as well as a handful of modern golden-hued metal spacer beads. The faience beads are presented in tubular and seed-sized forms while their exterior colors present a myriad of vibrant colors! Size (necklace): 23.75" L (60.3 cm); (largest bead): 0.44" L x 0.1" W (1.1 cm x 0.3 cm)

  • Condition: Wearable as shown and constructed in modern times. Faience beads are ancient; stringing and metal components are modern. Minor abrasions and fading to glaze pigment on some beads, otherwise intact and excellent. Wonderful preservation to glaze pigment throughout.
