Description:

Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A gathering of 6 mold-formed faience amulets, each depicting a wadjet (also wedjat or Eye of Horus). The petite talismans were kept as good luck charms by their owners and are decorated with a variety of colorful glazes. Size of largest: 0.62" L x 0.21" W x 0.43" H (1.6 cm x 0.5 cm x 1.1 cm)

Provenance: private Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA collection; ex-Minerva Gallery; ex-Benjamin Vega, California, USA, acquired in 2006 to 2007; ex-Gene and Virginia George, brought to the USA from 1961 to 1966
