Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. An attractive jar that is hand-carved from alabaster featuring a gently flared rim and apple-form body flanked by petite handles, all sitting upon a flat, circular base. Hues of honey, cream, and butterscotch form natural horizontal bands that beautifully complement the vessel's elegant form, while a splattering of earthen encrustations creates a texturized finish to the silky-smooth surface of the alabaster. Size: 2.875" in diameter x 2.5" H (7.3 cm x 6.4 cm)
