Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th Dynasty, ca. 664 to 525 BCE. A mold-formed faience ushabti bearing a T-shaped hieroglyphic inscription and layers of blue and turquoise glaze. The figure holds a pick and hoe as well as a seed bag draped behind the left shoulder, and the well-defined face peers out with false beard from between lengthy headdress lappets. Size: 1.25" W x 4.7" H (3.2 cm x 11.9 cm); 5.6" H (14.2 cm) on included custom stand.
