Description:

Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A lovely mold-formed faience ushabti which displays faint traces of its original blue-green glaze. The figure stands with fused legs atop an integral plinth, holds a pick and hoe in hands crossed atop the chest, and has a seed bag incised behind the left shoulder. Almond eyes, a petite nose, full lips, and a plaited false beard comprise the elegant visage, and a simple tripartite wig tops the head. A fine example from ancient Egypt! Size: 1" W x 4.3" H (2.5 cm x 10.9 cm); 4.6" H (11.7 cm) on included custom stand.
