Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A set of 6 glazed faience amulets from ancient Egypt. First is a pair of wadjet eyes - one flat, and one three-dimensional; next is a fragmentary bust of the goddess Isis wearing Hathoric horns and a sun disk; fourth is a petite turtle amulet covered in green glaze; fifth is a striding amulet of the hippopotamus-headed goddess Taweret; and the largest is a striding amulet of the lioness-headed goddess Sekhmet wearing the Double Crown of Egypt known as the Pschent. Size of largest (Sekhmet): 0.36" W x 1.85" H (0.9 cm x 4.7 cm)

  • Condition: Loss to lower body of Isis figure, and large chips to both wadjet eyes as shown; remaining 4 items are intact and very good. All items with minor abrasions, softening to some finer details, and fading to glaze pigment. Nice preservation to overall forms.
