Description:

Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A fine mold-formed faience ushabti covered in a bright blue glaze. The figure stands in mummiform with crossed hands holding a symbolic pick and hoe. The head is decorated with a tripartite wig, a false beard, and large ears. Seven progressively smaller lines of hieroglyphic text are presented on the obverse side of the legs. A great example from ancient Egypt! Size: 1" W x 4.2" H (2.5 cm x 10.7 cm).
