Description:

Egypt, Late Period, 26th Dynasty, ca. 664 to 525 BCE. A Late Period ushabti (shabti) painted with a turquoise faience that turns pale brown towards the feet but is vibrant near the head. Mold-made and mummiform, with wonderfully clear display of the hoes in its hands that would be used to work the fields of Osiris. The hieroglyphs, while somewhat faded, are still visible and can be translated. Size: 0.625" L x 1.125" W x 4.3" H (1.6 cm x 2.9 cm x 10.9 cm); 5" H (12.7 cm) on included custom stand.
