Description:

Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, 19th to 20th Dynasty, ca. 1292 to 1070 BCE. A hand-carved limestone fragment containing a portion of a dedication, perhaps intended for a sepulcher. Carved on the front is a partial hieroglyphic inscription which reads, "…raised up and established…" before ending. Size: 1.56" L x 1.54" W x 2.39" H (4 cm x 3.9 cm x 6.1 cm)

Provenance: private New York, New York, USA collection; ex-Herbert Warner (1851-1928) collection, Essex, UK, thence by descent to family
