Description:

Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th to 20th Dynasty, ca. 1550 to 1070 BCE. A hand-carved stone heart scarab of ovoid form with insectile features on the top including a frilled clypeus and a segmented carapace. Beneath the insect is a faint hieroglyphic inscription that was perhaps incised at a later time than when the scarab was first created. Size: 1.97" L x 1.43" W x 0.86" H (5 cm x 3.6 cm x 2.2 cm)
