Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE; Ancient Near East, Mesopotamia, Sumer, ca. 3000 to 1000 BCE. A beautiful necklace strung with ancient petite faience beads, glass, and stone on a modern thread with a clasp. The terminal ends have tiny seed-form faience beads covered in multi hues of green, turquoise, red, and black hued glaze, and a few glass beads. The rest of the strand alternates with beige barrel shaped faience and spherical chalcedony and a white stone as a central pendant. Size of strand: 27.25" L (69.2 cm); pendant: 0.75" L x 0.5" W (1.9 cm x 1.3 cm)
