Description:

Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th to 20th Dynasty, ca. 1550 to 1070 BCE. A wheel-thrown pottery pot stand used for placing larger vessels atop. The vermilion-hued exterior is decorated with 2 striding ibises, 2 tall trees, and a reclining lioness or leopard. Both the upper and lower rims are covered in solid black pigment to frame the natural scene across the middle. Size: 5.2" L x 5.1" W x 7.2" H (13.2 cm x 13 cm x 18.3 cm)

Exhibited in the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFFMA), California State University, San Bernardino from 2004 to 2023, reference number EL02.009.2004.
