East Asia, China, ca. 2nd to 1st Millennium BCE. A carved bracelet of rhinoceros bone with large opening in center for wrist. Bone has developed very fine root and other markings. Small section of unsmoothed bone juts out from top. Very fine and delicate to the touch. 4-1/2" (11-1/2 cm) in outer diameter; opening is 2" (5-1/2 cm) in diameter.
