Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Middle Cauca, ca. 1000 to 1500 CE. An intriguing group of four cylindrical terracotta roller stamps, each one carved/modeled with a mesmerizing design motif: two with waves, one with stylized crosses, and one with diagonal step motifs. Three have red pigment remaining on the surface. Stamps like this would have been used to decorate fabric, wooden objects, as well as human skin. Size: longest measures 1.875" L x .875" in diameter (4.8 cm x 2.2 cm)
