**First Time At Auction**

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A collection of four bronze rings, two with thin bands and two with thicker. Each is different. One is a five-petaled flower (US 6.25); another is an incised motif that looks like a pelican looking over its shoulder (US 6); one is another incised motif, this one more abstract, perhaps resembling an axe (US 6.5); the fourth is a round setting that seems to be missing an oval stone or other inset item (US 8.25). All are wearable! Size of largest: 0.6" L x 0.85" W (1.5 cm x 2.2 cm)

Provenance: Ex-private Collection of James Farmer, Maryland, collected from major galleries and auction houses between 1995 and 2005
