A World War I era poster with imagery by Henry Patrick Raleigh (signature printed in the plate at lower left beside woman's hand) with a composition that features an Allied Forces soldier protecting a woman from a German soldier; the woman is clearly frightened and holds a child in her lap. The Allied soldier pushes the German soldier, who has blood on his hands, away and red flames rise in the background.
