Description:

Middle East/Western Asia, Persia / Iran, Qajar Dynasty, ca. 19th century CE. A beautiful ceramic tile of a tall rectangular form with a glazed obverse side. Presented on the front of the white-ground tile are a pair of red-and-yellow birds, standing atop two projecting branches of a blue-and-yellow vase bottom, and pecking at the leafy exterior. A pair of green-and-red flowers arch downward towards the birds' heads, and a five-petaled flower is illustrated just above a rectangular platform. An attractive example of fine Qajar artistry! Lucite display stand for photography purposes only. Size: 10.2" W x 10.3" H (25.9 cm x 26.2 cm).
