Ancient Greece, Geometric Period, ca. 9th to early 8th century BCE; Roman, late Imperial to early Byzantine, ca. 4th to 6th century CE; West Africa, Nigeria, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. A set of 3 bronze artifacts. First is a Greek Geometric bronze bracelet with ample green patina and a shallow midrib, and next is a late Roman to early Byzantine bronze buckle with a palmette-shaped clasp. Last is a 19th century Nigerian leaded bronze bracelet currency piece called a manilla. Size of largest (Greek bracelet): 1" L x 3.3" W x 1.875" H (2.5 cm x 8.4 cm x 4.8 cm)

  • Condition: Buckle clasp with softening to incised decorations as shown and minor oxidation, and Greek bracelet with minor nicks and earthen deposits, otherwise all are intact and very good. Great patina throughout.
