Description:

**First Time At Auction**

Greece, Hellenistic Period, ca. 3rd to 2nd century BCE. A lovely wheel-thrown terracotta spindle jar with a narrow foot and a tall pedestal base, a rounded saucer-shaped body, a thin cylindrical neck, a narrow mouth, and a flared rim. This is an unusual example because of the widened body shape, which protrudes further laterally than typical spindle jars. Size: 6.875" H (17.5 cm).
