Description:

Greece, early Hellenistic Period, ca. 3rd century BCE. A lovely, hollow-molded pottery figure depicting an elegant woman standing with her head cocked to one side. A long, elegant himation wraps around her arms and flows down her slender body. Her face is defined by almond eyes, a slender nose, thin lips, and nicely-contoured cheeks, all framed with curly hair peeking out from underneath a large veil. A beautiful example of fine Hellenistic artistry! Size: 2.5" W x 8.35" H (6.4 cm x 21.2 cm)
