Ancient Greece, Mycenaean, ca. 1550 to 1050 BCE. A wheel-thrown squat pottery vessel with a flat ring base, bulbous body, narrow neck, flared rim, and single applied handle. The neck has a painted deep-brown collar similar to that of the rim, base, and handle. The jar is coated in a cream-hued glaze, though the underlying pottery material is visible in some areas. Size: 2.75" H (7 cm).
