A splendid silver ornament of crescent-form, intended to have been secured to a cloth turban-like headdress via the 4 holes at the center. Hammered from a single sheet of copper, the ancient adornment presents a gently convex face boasting a lustrous, smooth surface, while the verso displays a rich patina and areas of beautiful, rainbow iridescence. Size: 8.4" W x 7.3" H (21.3 cm x 18.5 cm); silver quality: 82%; weight: 102.6 grams
