**Originally Listed At $250**

North Africa, Algeria, Kabylie region, Imazighen (Amazigh) Berber culture, ca. late 19th to mid-20th century CE. A large fibula pin crafted from a silver-copper alloy, inlaid with enamel and a single coral cabochon. The obverse features raised granules and sawtooth bezels holding the inlays - coral was the preferred material, though enamel was commonly used to replicate its appearance . The pin includes an articulating hoop with a snake-head design at one end, while the other end is missing its enamel inlay. Typically worn at the shoulder, often as part of a matching pair, fibulae were used to secure clothing. Below the coral inlay is a protrusion with a pierced hole, intended for attaching a chain to connect to a companion fibula. Size: 8" L x 3.2" W (20.3 cm x 8.1 cm); silver quality: 37% to 58%
