Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, Amarna period, reign of Akhenaten, ca. 1353 to 1336 BCE. A super-fine wooden panel section, probably from a very fine sarcophagus. Drawn upon the section are two priests holding ankhs in their extended right hands, above and below glyphs including the kheper beetle and neb symbols commonly used in cartouches of the 18th dynasty. A fascinating relic! Size: 6.75" W x 3" H (17.1 cm x 7.6 cm); 4.75" H (12.1 cm) on included custom stand.
