Pre-Columbian, Southern Peru, Inca hinterlands (Chucu), ca. 1000 to 1500 CE. A hand-built pottery plaque with uneven peripheries, a slightly rounded verso, and a lightly concave obverse. The front of the plaque presents a pair of abstract anthropomorphic figures standing atop attenuated legs within a field of polychrome circles, and the image is presented in vibrant white, yellow, and red hues.
