West Mexico, Nayarit, Ca 200 BCE to 300 CE. An amazing and incredibly rare stone and shell model of a Nayarit temple, found in a shaft tomb in the 1950's by Lynn Langdon. Pieces include argillite temple façade and steps, along with mother of pearl steps. Included in the photos is one artist's interpretation of how this model would have looked when originally buried 2000 years ago. If properly framed, this could be an exciting and important model! Presented in Ryker case. Largest piece measures about 3-3/4" W. Provenance: Ex Langdon collection.
