Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, Protoclassic period, ca. 100 BCE to 250 CE. A fine mace head of a sizable form, hand-carved from a mottled grey-brown stone with light and dark inclusions. The weapon has a large hafting hole in the center and thick walls carved with three rows of raised bulbs. A mace head like this was likely intended for a prominent warrior. Size: 1.9" W x 1.375" H (4.8 cm x 3.5 cm)
