A hand carved sculptural scene of 3 soapstone birds perched on a bone base. The bone may be part of a skull from a marine mammal such as a whale or walrus. Size of bone w/ bird: 6" L x 4" W x 4.5" H (15.2 cm x 10.2 cm x 11.4 cm); birds alone: 3.5" L x 1" W (8.9 cm x 2.5 cm)

  • Condition: Repaired, one bird head is reattached with visible break line. Losses and chips to surfaces of all three. Birds have wood pegs but these no longer fit in the drilled socket holes on base and easily fall off. The birds may need to be glued in place or have replacement pegs added. Unsigned.
