Description:

Islamic, ca. 13th to 16th century CE. A petite, hand-blown glass pitcher of golden brown hues that conjure the color of natural amber - its body presenting a dramatically tapering form with diagonally ribbed walls, a rolled rim, a single pouring spout, and a substantial trailed handle running the full height of the vessel. The attractive ribbed pattern adorning the walls is further accentuated with marvelous rainbow iridescence - and further complemented by the radiating fretted sunburst motif surrounding the broken pontil (also highlighted with beautiful iridescence) on the underside of the base. Truly a stunning glass vessel of an unusual form and striking amble color! Size: 3" H (7.6 cm)
