A unique pair of antique Japanese shokudai candlestick holders cast from copper with etched chrysanthemum flower motifs across the domed bases and drip pans. The 16-petal chrysanthemum is a national symbol of Japan, and Shinto temples often incorporated this symbol into decorations- the flower embodies purity, loyalty, and the emperor.
