A stunning watercolor by Kirby Roll depicting ancient architectural ruins featuring a carved statue of an Asian deity housed in an arched niche. Roll skillfully rendered the figure in voluminous robes and a tall headdress with billowing carved draperies framing the niche. All is delineated in neutral hues and with a keen sense of photographic realism. A remarkable work of art set in a custom matte and frame under glass. Size of painting: 21.25" W x 28.75" H (54 cm x 73 cm) Size of frame: 30.5" W x 38.25" H (77.5 cm x 97.2 cm)
