Description:

East Asia, Korea, Koryo (also Goryeo) Dynasty, ca. 918 to 1392 CE. A fine wheel-thrown pottery vase with a flat base, an inverted piriform body with a rounded shoulder, a corseted neckline, and a squat, flared rim. The exterior surfaces are covered with dozens of raised bulbs that create an interesting textured feel, and the surface is ash-glazed to a deep brown-red hue. An attractive example of utilitarian Korean artistry! Size: 8.1" W x 9.8" H (20.6 cm x 24.9 cm).

This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) analysis and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full report will accompany purchase.
