Korea, Koryo Dynasty, ca. 12th to 13th century CE. A rectangular bronze Korean mirror with small perforated tab at top for suspension from the Koryo or Goryeo Dynasty. Following the long Three Kingdoms period (50 BCE to 935 CE) this new power called Koryo or Goryeo arose under Emperor Taejo developing into a dynasty known for great advances in art and technology. Koryo would later evolve to become the modern Korea. Size: 4-3/4" x 4-1/8" Provenance: Ex-private southern California collection, acquired before 2000.
