Description:

North America, ca. millions of years old. An ice-colored fragment of gem-quality aquamarine with a dense yet translucent crystal structure and small, leaf-shaped inclusions of a mica-like pale golden mineral on one side. A beryl mineral, aquamarine has been a cherished stone thought to increase the happiness of married couples through the calming colors and reflective properties. Aquamarine (from the Latin aqua marinus, meaning "water of the sea") is a mineral mainly found in granite quarries that makes for elegant and attractive jewelry. This example is of a huge size with a body composed of regular crystalline structures that resemble an iceberg floating on water with columns rising at diagonal angles from its surface. An exquisite example of fine jewelry-grade minerals! Size: 3.4" W x 2.35" H (8.6 cm x 6 cm); 2.65" H (6.7 cm) on included custom stand.
