Description:

Oceania, Papua New Guinea, East Sepik River region, Abelam, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A highly stylized woven vegetal fiber mask, vividly hand-painted in hues of orange and white on a natural brown-hued ground. The visage is comprised primarily of circular eyes and an enormous, slender nose with a bridge that stretches up past the forehead. The lateral and upper peripheries are lined with wispy, black-hued bird feathers, perhaps cassowary, that create a wondrous presentation. Size: 38" L x 18" W x 32.5" H (96.5 cm x 45.7 cm x 82.6 cm)

Our shippers of choice are DHL for International shipments and UPS for domestic shipments, but we are able to ship via other carriers at the buyer's expense as deemed necessary or by request.

For shipments of oversize items, Artemis Gallery will assist the buyer in working with a third-party shipping provider. For shipments outside of the USA, customs and duties may apply upon entry into said country, and this fee, if any, is the buyer's responsibility.
