Handsome and large black and white hand built pottery vessel/canteen with interlocking lightening motifs, near spherical form with rounded bottom, small lug handles, and raised spout. The Ancient Puebloans employed a coil-and-scrape hand building technique to create pottery that was stylistically innovative. The Anasazi were polytheistic and worshiped spiritual figures for many things including plentiful harvests and rain that made abundant crop production possible. 7"H x 7" at widest.
