Description:

North America, Kansas, found in Admire, Lyon County, in 1881 CE. A trio of beautiful polished slices of meteorite, each heterogeneous rock with translucent red-yellow olivine crystals throughout. The Widmanstätten pattern (Thomson structures), long nickel-iron crystals found in pallasite meteorites like this one, is clear on each. The Admire pallasite meteorite was found during ploughing in 1881, when a farmer excavated a mass approximately 12-15 pounds. Size of one fragment (they are all roughly similar in size): 3" W x 4.45" H (7.6 cm x 11.3 cm); 6.75" H (17.1 cm) on included custom stand.
