West Mexico, Colima and Nayarit, Ca 300 Be to 300 CE. Interesting lot of three items. First, a pottery head of an owl, large rounded eyes, hooked beak and openings at the cheeks - 2" H. Along with a standing flat figure of a female, arms to her sides, wearing scalloped headdress. 3-7/8" H. Finally, rounded drum shaped spool, possibly an ear flare or votive drum, added red pigment. 1-1/2" D. Provenance: Ex-private Holiday collection, Kansas acquired prior to 1970. All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.
