Description:

Pre-Columbian, Honduras, Ulua Valley, ca. 700 to 850 CE. A lovely set of three mold-formed pottery stamp seals, each with a conical handle on the verso. The smallest of the group depicts an abstract avian figure with a lengthy beak and petite wings. Both larger stamps depict two-headed birds with an abstract simian figure shown on the chest, with the smaller displaying traces of bright yellow-green pigment. Size of largest: 2" W x 2.125" H (5.1 cm x 5.4 cm).
