A lovely 93.64% gold (equivalent to 22K+) earring molded into an elegant crescent moon shape, hollow in form and adorned with three sections of wrapped wiring. The crescent moon is associated with Luna, the divine embodiment of the moon, as well as the Roman goddesses Diana and Juno. Earrings of such quality would have belonged to an elite Roman woman as not only a lovely accessory but as an invaluable asset, independent of her husband's wealth.
