Ancient Near East, Luristan, ca. 1000 to 600 BCE. A pair of bronze socketed spearheads, both with long sockets relative to their blades. These weapons would have ended their useful lives as grave goods in the tomb of one of Luristan's nomadic horse warriors. Size of one: 0.8" W x 9.1" H (2 cm x 23.1 cm); 9.25" H (23.5 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: ex-estate of John Piscopo. Mr. Piscopo was one of the largest collectors of ancient weapons in the USA with a collection that spanned all cultures, all ages.
