Pre-Columbian, Argentina or Chile, Mapuche culture, ca. 1200 to 1800 CE. A beautiful smoking pipe with a lengthy body and a curved receptacle, hand-carved from a mottled green-brown stone with dark inclusions. The conical body is widest near the receptacle and tapers gently towards the mouthpiece. Custom museum-quality display stand included. Size: 7.25" L x 1.875" W x 2.625" H (18.4 cm x 4.8 cm x 6.7 cm); 3.95" H (10 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private Hawaii, USA collection; purportedly ex-Butterfield's, acquired in the 1980s
