Description:

Northern Europe, England, Medieval period, ca. 9th to 12th century CE. An iron blade with a long tang. The blade tapers to a point with a faint midrib running down the center of the blade. The tang may have had an inlay of wood or bone to form a handle. In combat daggers were used with swords as a secondary form of defense and could fit through the visor slits of armor, making this form of long knife quite popular during medieval times. Size: 13.25" L x 1.125" W (33.7 cm x 2.9 cm)
